山東春季高考與傳統(tǒng)的夏季高考不盡相同，其主要特點(diǎn)有兩個(gè)方面：首先，高校有了更多的自主權(quán)。在招生計(jì)劃上有調(diào)節(jié)權(quán)，生源質(zhì)量好、學(xué)校條件許可，可適當(dāng)擴(kuò)大招生名額。其次，考生有了更多的選擇權(quán)。除由國家承認(rèn)學(xué)歷的各類高等學(xué)校和高中階段各類學(xué)校在校學(xué)生外，凡符合有關(guān)規(guī)定者均可在秋考之外再選擇參加春考。但由于對考生吸引力不大，面臨被叫停的危險(xiǎn)。

　　藝術(shù)聯(lián)考，就是指目前國內(nèi)比較權(quán)威，及教育部備案的各大藝術(shù)類院校，或者各大院校的藝術(shù)系對于高中三年級藝術(shù)類考生在高三第一學(xué)期末舉行的一次綜合的專業(yè)考試。考試合格者獲得報(bào)考院校的專業(yè)合格證，持此合格證書參加高考，高考成績公布以后，各藝術(shù)類院校進(jìn)行擇優(yōu)錄取。
